    Story Overview
    A mysterious new substance was discovered on the remote planet, Rubicon 3. As an energy source, this substance was expected to dramatically advance humanity’s technological and communications capabilities. Instead, this substance caused a catastrophe that engulfed the planet and the surrounding stars in flames and storms, forming a Burning Star System.

    Almost half a century later, the same substance resurfaced on Rubicon 3, a planet now contaminated and sealed off by the catastrophe.

    Extra-terrestrial corporations and resistance groups fight over control of the substance. The player infiltrates Rubicon as an independent mercenary and finds themself in a struggle over the substance with the corporations and other factions.

    Hidetaka Miyazaki will be involved as the Initial Game Director. Based on the initial development, Masaru Yamamura has taken over as Director.

    Il gioco è ambientato nel futuro dopo una collisione apocalittica tra la Terra e la Luna. A seguito del cataclisma, tutta l'intelligenza artificiale della Terra è stata distrutta e le macchine si sono ribellate all'umanità. Il giocatore assume il ruolo di un pilota mercenario (un "Esterno") al controllo di un robot da battaglia (chiamato "Arsenal"), incaricato di proteggere l'umanità. Gli Ester non sono semplici esseri umani, ma persone dotate di poteri sovrumani che li rendono emarginati dalla società.

    ###Gioco d'azzardo
    I robot sono altamente personalizzabili. Il gioco permette al giocatore di cambiare i dettagli anche durante il combattimento. Una volta sconfitti i robot nemici, il giocatore può recuperare i loro pezzi da utilizzare per la propria macchina. Anche gli Outer sono personalizzabili. Il giocatore può scegliere il sesso e l'aspetto del proprio avatar, nonché le abilità del personaggio. L'hub principale del gioco è l'Hangar, dove il giocatore può accettare missioni e acquistare potenziamenti.

    ###VStile visivo
    Essendo fortemente ispirato a serie anime come Evangelion e Gundam, il gioco cerca di imitarle visivamente. Daemon X Machina presenta uno stile di animazione pseudo-2D con ombreggiature a celle, un elevato contrasto e un uso limitato dei colori. Il gioco è caratterizzato da musiche heavy metal.

    ###Multigiocatore
    Il gioco dispone di una modalità multigiocatore cooperativa che consente la partecipazione di un massimo di quattro giocatori. Nel gioco in solitaria, i compagni non giocanti sono controllati dall'IA.

    As the first part of the game, it is a first-person shooter in which you can control the pilot and exoskeleton “Titan”. The pilot has a diverse arsenal of abilities that allow you to jump and run on steep walls with the help of the “jump pilot module”. These abilities can be used with each other to move through the game locations quickly.

    With enough points, the player can call the Titan, landing from the sky. They are much slower than pilots but have more powerful weapons.
